Diwali is round the corner and it is the first festival celebrated by melody junction!!

Diwali is the festival of lights.  The Diwali illuminations with lighted diyas bring the supernatural brightness and joy with the hope of finding light in darkness, achieving knowledge where there is ignorance, and spreading love amidst hatred. Lets all together celebrate Diwali and wish that the darkness called recession end in this world. May Lord Lakshmi shower her blessings upon us!!

Friends while surfing I reached Rediff and started listening to songs there. Clicked on of my favourite songs Maa from Taare Zameen Par. And there at the bottom was link to few more and one being the link posted below.

Music basically was introduced to connect ourselves to god.. It was introduced so we could get the effect of most vibrations available in the world.. Each vibration has its own effect – both for those who listen to the vibration and those utter the vibration. The notes Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa – signifies a vibration. Well, there is a long story on why these notes were chosen among those 1000 letters available.. Not going in deapth, music has been mentioned in all the four vedas of Hindu culture namely Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda with each veda sigfying songs for various occassions.. There are songs which are not meant to be sung at home and other songs which are meant to be sung only in temples.. As not many can understand the deapth of vibrations in the world, music was written as the means to get the positive vibration around the listeners and singers..

Hi

After repeated request and on public demand, melodyjunction has now come up with a brand new forum mainly for discussion.. Though the blog will be continued for members to read the posts, the forum will mainly be used for discussion.. I was searching through the list of filmfare winners through out the passing years and found the list in bollywood hungama article

I always wondered if filmfare awards have been received by the musicians who duly deserved and after reading out the list, I am now confirmed that filmfare has been very unfair to many musicians..
